KEIGHLEY Healthy Living spread some festive cheer at a sheltered housing scheme.

The organisation arranged a live concert outside Farish House, featuring singer Emma James.

She performed for over an hour at the Incommunities site, in Keighley.

The event also saw Christmas cards, written by pupils from years three and four at Worth Valley Primary School, handed over to the residents.

Julia Charlton, for Keighley Healthy Living, said: “The concert and cards were to spread some festive cheer for residents.

“Cards were kindly donated by UK Greetings and handwritten by the children.

“One of the residents said ‘this has been the highlight of our Christmas so far. It has got us all up dancing!’.”

Keighley Healthy Living, based in Scott Street, has also been supporting those in need this Christmas.

It has distributed more than 300 pizza and pasta food kits to families facing a tough time this festive season. And the organisation has given out 200 toys and children’s activity kits.
