A CARING young couple are spreading some cheer across Keighley this Christmas.
Sam Gallagher and Chloe McKell are distributing 100 festive gift boxes to nominated individuals and families.
The 23-year-old graduates are inviting people from Keighley and surrounding areas to contact them, via social media, to nominate recipients particularly hard hit by the pandemic and who are facing a tough Christmas.
The couple are self-funding the initiative, known as the Little Christmas Box Project.
“It’s been a rough year for us all but we recognise that some have had it more difficult than others,” said Sam, from Utley.
“We wanted to give back to local people who need help or cheering-up this Christmas, so we came-up with the idea for the project during the second national lockdown. We hope to spread some Christmas spirit and joy to those who need it most this year.”
The project can be contacted on Facebook and Instagram – @TheLittleChristmasBoxProject – and by following #TheLittleChristmasBoxProject.
