HERE we step back two years, when members of Keighley Association of Engineers took part in their final event of 2018 – a visit to the Calderdale Industrial Museum at Halifax.
The members and guests were given a guided tour and shown a wide range of working exhibits, from large machine tools once made in the town and machinery for wrapping sweets, to carpet-weaving looms.
The association was founded 120 years ago.
It normally stages a syllabus including technical lectures on various engineering subjects and visits, plus there is an annual dinner, but activities are currently suspended due to the pandemic.
