ABBA were formed in Stockholm in 1972, and after winning the Eurovision Contest two years later with Waterloo they went on to become one of the biggest-selling acts in the history of pop music.
The quartet topped the charts worldwide from 1974 to 1982, and 10 years after they split up following the collapse of the members’ marriages, compilation album ABBA Gold became a worldwide bestseller.
