KEIGHLEY-district businesses are being urged to consider applying for the Queen’s Award for Enterprise.

And a ‘webinar’ is planned to provide more information about the process.

Among those taking part in the session – on July 23 – are the West and North Yorkshire, and Mid Yorkshire, chambers of commerce and the Lord-Lieutenant of West Yorkshire, Ed Anderson.

Also, previous recipient Mark Ridgway – of Group Rhodes Limited – will share his experience and offer advice.

The Queens’s Award for Enterprise is awarded to eligible businesses which demonstrate outstanding achievement in one of several categories – innovation, international trade, sustainable development and promoting opportunity through social mobility.

Recipients can fly a Queen’s Award flag and the emblem may be used on company marketing materials.

Sandy Needham, of West and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “These awards give businesses great recognition and can boost staff morale.”
