SOME Keighley parish churches are reopening for private prayer – and St Anne's RC Church for mass.

The Shared Church will be open between 1pm and 3pm on Wednesdays and 10.30am and noon on Fridays.

Sundays will see St Barnabas open from 10am to 11am and St Mark’s from 6pm to 7pm.

Visitors will be asked to follow strict hygiene and distancing rules, with hand sanitiser provided on entry.

Bibles and other printed materials will not be available so people should take their own if needed.

St Anne’s RC Church is opening for the celebration of mass from this weekend.

Holy mass will be held at 9am on Saturday and the usual weekly programme will then resume.

Due to social distancing requirements, numbers will be limited to 60 at each mass and seats need to be booked – visit stanneskeighley.org.uk, or call 01535 645454 Mondays to Wednesdays, 11am to noon.

"The restoration of public worship at St Anne's is a moment of great joy for the Catholic faithful," said parish priest, Canon Michael McCreadie.

The church reopened for private prayer earlier this month.
