PIANO king Stuart Langhorne has posted one of his live performances online to entertain people during the lockdown.

Stuart appeared at Hall Green Baptist Chapel in Haworth last November in a well-received concert.

He has uploaded the concert in two parts to his YouTube channel, Stuart Langhorne Plays Piano, along with his performance at the Forsyth Music Shop.

One fan has written: “Great job Stuart. I am really thrilled watching you play and you seem both you and the audience are enjoying it.”

Stuart has been playing piano for his life, graduating from Leeds College of Music, and for the past 30 years has been the Steeton Methodist Church organist. He has lived in Silsden for more than 50 years.

A specialises in popular songs and classical music. He has provided music for regular themed foodie events at Hettie’s Café Bistro in Skipton including Japanese, Italian and Yorkshire evenings.

He said: “I have a classical repertoire and I can play music from operas. It’s largely based on my ability to remember pieces from popular piano concertos.”

Stuarr last year released a CD entitled Christmas Celebrations, a seasonal journey of favourites from stage and screen. These include The Holy City, Silent Night, You’ll Never Walk Alone, Winter Wonderland, Wichita Lineman, White Christmas and You’re A Lady.
