A HOUSEBUILDER with schemes across the Keighley area has boosted a children’s cancer charity.

Barratt Developments Yorkshire West has announced that last year it raised £24,210 for Candlelighters.

Activities included a charity golf day, which alone coined-in £13,000.

There were also raffles, award sponsorships and festive donations.

And the company’s land director, David Coe, raised over £2,000 by taking part in the Great North Run.

“We’re always keen to support charities and organisations dedicated to improving the lives of local people – and Candlelighters is the perfect example,” he said.

“The work it does to provide support for families dealing with childhood cancer is vital and is something we’re delighted to support where we can.”

Barratt developments locally include Vision in Keighley and Saxon Dene, at Silsden.
