ADMINISTRATORS have been called in to long-established Keighley drinks dispenser supplier England Worthside Limited.

Rushtons Insolvency Ltd of Bradford have been appointed as administrators for the company, based in Hope Mills off South Street, and were this week awaiting court ratification for the measure.

England Worthside, also known as EWL, was originally best known as a manufacturer of traditional, hand-pull beer pumps.

The company, which in 2018 employed more than 60 people, grew into a leading supplier of high-quality cask ale equipment to the drinks dispensing industry.

The company has more than 42,000 sq ft of offices, production facilities and stores, and supplied new equipment as well as repairing and refurbishing second-hand equipment.

England Worthside is the second Keighley company to hit trouble in recent weeks, after clamps manufacturer Teconnex announced that up to 99 jobs were to be lost at its base on Chesham Street, after business was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Rushtons this week said they could not comment further at the present time.
