A KEIGHLEY woman has urged people not to light garden fires because it could badly affect people fighting coronavirus.
Fashion designer Laura Kelly wants people to think twice before lighting fires due to the smoke that spreads around the neighbourhood.
Laura, who runs online business Fate & Things, said: "We have a pandemic on our hands which is affecting the lungs and we have so many inconsiderate people lighting garden fires.
"People in this town are struggling to breathe – it's the old vulnerable people who are too afraid to say anything that are mainly suffering.
"Last week I was devastated watching a fire bellowing smoke onto the old people's home near my house."
Laura has posted a warning on Facebook with the slogan "please remember, your neighbour may need clean air – put out your garden fires".
