HELP may be at hand for people who are holed-up at home due to the coronavirus pandemic and seeking entertainment.

Bradford UNESCO City of Film’s online Film Heritage link is signposting viewers to movies and television dramas shot at locations across the district, including Keighley and Haworth.

And the City of Film team is also preparing live streams for the weeks ahead in areas of movie heritage and creative expression in film-making.

The organisation’s director, David Wilson, said: “We have compiled a list of some recent and older productions, made or part made in Bradford district, with details of where to view them from.

“We all have our part to play in helping people get through this situation. We know there’s a lot of interest in local film and TV locations and we hope people enjoy discovering – and in many cases rediscovering – online the amazing film heritage of the Bradford district. We urge people to follow Government advice and stay at home wherever possible.”

He added: “We’re also trying to ensure that people working in film and TV sectors get vital information they need at this difficult time by disseminating, on our website, the latest details coming from the Government for this sector.”

City of Film’s heritage site highlights productions and links to the relevant broadcaster or streaming platform.

They include The English Game – Julian Fellowes’ period drama about how football developed across the class divide – and Peaky Blinders, filmed at district-wide locations including City Hall and Keighley railway station on the Worth Valley line.

Also featured is Gunpowder, starring Game of Thrones actor Kit Harrington, shot at Dalton Mills in Keighley. And the line-up includes Miss You Already, starring Drew Barrymore and Toni Collette, filmed at Haworth and on Ilkley Moor.
