NEW analysis has shown that this region is the happiest place in England to live.
Yorkshire and the Humber came out ahead of Norfolk in second and Greater London third.
Among the least happy places to live are the City of London, Essex and Lancashire.
And the north generally seems more content than the south – 80 per cent of areas in the least happy category are in southern parts of the country.
The research was carried out, to coincide with International Day of Happiness, by digital marketing agency Blueclaw.
It tracked positive hashtags in more than 1,000 tweets over a seven-day period and scaled the results against each area’s population.
“The research shows the value of being kind to others and spreading good vibes on social media – especially to friends down south who may need some extra TLC!” said a spokesman.
