MANORLANDS has received a boost from a Keighley housing scheme.

Residents at Merlin Court have presented the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice with a £730 cheque.

The money was coined-in through a fundraising day.

Liv Moffat, a community fundraiser at Manorlands, said: “We’re so lucky to have the support that we do in Keighley.

“We rely heavily on our local community and it’s so great to see that, time and time again, people are there for us.

“Ongoing support means we’re able to keep providing care to our patients and relatives when they need it most.”

All Manorlands services are free to patients and their loved ones, but it costs £10,000 a day to keep the hospice doors open – or £3.6m a year.

Most of the funds have to be raised through voluntary donations.
