FIREFIGHTERS were called out when smoke started pouring from a tumble dryer in the garage of a house at Cross Hills.
Two crews from Skipton Fire Station attended the incident, shortly before 6.30pm yesterday.
The householders had isolated power to the dryer.
Firefighters moved the machine into the back garden and dampened it down.
The smoke was caused by a build-up of lint.
