KEIGHLEY's iconic goth rock band Skeletal Family has a busy 2020 in store as they go on the road with a revised line-up.

The quintet will kick-off the year with a January 3 gig at Manchester music venue Night People & The Twisted Wheel.

The band will then play Dublin and Leeds before going to the studio to record new material.

The line-up includes original members Stan Greenwood (guitar), Roger 'rotwood' Nowell (bass) and Karl Heinz (keyboards and sax), along with new singer Hannah Small and drummer Adrian Ozzy Osadzenko.

The 'Skels' unveiled their new look in October with an Exchange Arts Centre gig as part of the Keighley Arts and Film Festival.

Formed in 1982, Skeletal Family took their name from the David Bowie song Chant of the Ever-Circling Skeletal Family.

They released their first single on Red Rhino Records, and their debut album Burning Oil, released in 1984, topped the UK Independent Chart.

The band had a successful tour opening for fellow goth icons The Sisters of Mercy before releasing their second, and most successful, album Futile Combat.

Skeletal Family then signed to Chrysalis Records but disbanded in 1986.  In 2002 the band reformed and, though having several changes in vocalist, the core of the group remains.

In recent years the band have played several high-profile shows, including four times at Wave-Gottik Treffen in Leipzig, the Whitby Goth Weekend and the Drop Dead Festival in New York.

In Manchester, Skeletal Family will be supported by Dr.Diablo & the Rodent Show, Scotland's Gothzilla and local band Weimar.
