A PLEA to the public has been issued following an incident in which a car involved in a police pursuit crashed in Keighley – damaging six other vehicles.
The incident began at 6.53pm on Sunday, when a silver Audi A3 failed to stop for police in Highfield Lane.
“This was in collision with a number of other cars almost immediately afterwards and was abandoned by the sole occupant – who was believed to be wearing a grey hooded top," said a police spokesman.
“Enquiries suggest the vehicle was stolen in a burglary in Redcliffe Street earlier in the day.
“Anyone with information which may assist is asked to contact police on 101, or by using the contact options on the West Yorkshire Police website. The crime reference for the burglary is 13190629244. Information can also be reported anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
Fire crews were called to make one of the vehicles that the Audi hit safe.
