SANTA gave his reindeer a rest when he visited the Haworth Riding for the Disabled (RDA) annual Christmas fair.
He arrived at the event, at the group’s Vale Mill Lane stables, in a pony and trap.
Hauling the trap was Murphy, with one of the group’s junior volunteers driving.
Murphy’s services are offered every year by owner Karen Balentine, whose daughters have volunteered at the stables.
In addition to Santa, the event featured tombolas, pony rides, craft stalls, bottle pulls and ferret racing, and refreshments were served.
Organisers have hailed the fair as a huge success – it raised £936 for group funds.
Jane Lawrence, for Haworth RDA, said: “Santa arrived in style and the event was well supported by our riders, volunteers and members of the local community. We were delighted with how the day went.”
