ORGANISERS of a Winter Wonderland in Keighley are seeking local talent to perform, comedy, poetry and songs.
Young women from Keighley Leadership Squad are preparing the free event at Central Hall, Alice Street, on Saturday December 14.
They hope the festival, which runs from 1-4pm, will put a smile on everyone’s face.
They say: “With this Winter Wonderland we are aiming to make our town feel joyful as we approach Christmas, and we want to bring people together as 2019 draws to a close.
“So take off your woolly socks, stop sitting in front of Home Alone and join us at this fantastic event! We are Keighley Leadership Squad, a group of young women trying and striving to make Keighley a wonderful place, society and environment for everyone.”
There will be in ‘open mic’ throughout the event, and anyone wishing to perform should email sophie@iclseducation.org or call 07429 740249 to book a five or 10-minute slot.
Attractions will include Santa Claus and a dress-up photo booth. Central Hall Café will be open for drinks and light refreshments, and a raffle and bake sale to raise money for Yorkshire Cat Rescue.
