MEMBERS of staff at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust with a combined 677 years’ service under their belts have been rewarded.

Twenty-seven employees – including admin workers, laundry assistants, midwives and theatre nurses – have been presented with awards marking at least 25 years with the trust, which runs Airedale Hospital at Steeton.

Thirteen of the staff received their awards from the trust’s chief executive, Brendan Brown, at a special celebratory lunch.

Guests also included trust chairman, Andrew Gold, and other members of the board of directors.

Mr Brown paid tribute to the recipients for their “dedication to the hospital and the NHS”.

He added: “It’s important for us to recognise the dedication of our people and to mark this important milestone in their long service.

“Our people are what make Airedale Hospital special.

“We can only provide great care through their professionalism and loyalty.

“We’re very grateful for their commitment to providing that great care and a great experience for our population.”
