STAFF at a Keighley law firm have found the ingredient for fundraising success.
Employees at AWB Charlesworth Solicitors staged a seventh annual bake-off contest in support of Martin House children’s hospice, Boston Spa.
The venture – which also involved staff at the company’s Skipton, Bingley and Bradford offices – saw 18 creations judged by Martin House ambassador Roma Turner.
Winners were Carole Conroy, with a red velvet cake; Dawn Hargreaves, who produced an orange cake, and Irene Duxbury, with a chocolate creation.
Cakes were then bought by staff, clients and contacts, raising £250.
Company director, Declan Hayes, said the bake-off was another huge success.
He added: “A special thank-you is due to all our staff – who put in a tremendous effort to make our charity fundraisers such a great success – and to our local colleagues and contacts, who supported the event by buying and enjoying the cakes!”
Martin House provides care for children with life-shortening conditions and support to their families.
