EARLY-bird entries have opened for next year’s Manorlands 10k and 5k.
The popular run and walk, formerly known as the BigK, will once again take place on Mothering Sunday – which next year falls on March 22.
The event has become a major annual fundraising fixture on the Manorlands calendar.
This year, more than 1,000 people took part and tens of thousands of pounds were raised for the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice.
The 2020 10k will set off as usual from Victoria Park in Hard Ings Road and follow a multi-terrain route through the town, finishing back at the park.
It will start at 9am, but participants are asked to arrive by 8.20am to register and collect their timing chip.
All finishers will receive a technical T-shirt and goody bag.
The 5k begins at Lund Park at 9.15am, and finishes with the 10k in Victoria Park.
Early-bird entry fees are £8 for under-18s and £13 for adults.
Those will rise to £10 and £18 when the early-bird period ends.
All proceeds go to Manorlands, which cares for people – at the hospice and in the community – with conditions such as cancer, liver failure and heart disease.
The hospice has to find £2.1 million a year to provide its services.
