TESCO is urging customers to cast their votes for a favourite community project to receive cash aid.
Three shortlisted causes are in the running for funding in this region – the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund, Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Youth Work Unit Yorkshire and the Humber.
Up to £25,000 is on offer.
Shoppers vote using blue tokens they receive at checkout.
The Bags of Help scheme, run in partnership with Groundwork, awards funding to thousands of community projects every year.
Since the initiative was launched, more than £1.6 million has been handed out in West Yorkshire – with over 530 projects benefitting.
Grants this year are helping to mark the centenary of the supermarket giant.
Keith Jackson, for Tesco, said: “We’re calling on our customers to vote in stores and show their support for these fantastic community causes.”
