SOUTH Craven people are being invited to attend meetings launched as part of a scheme to combat loneliness and isolation in communities.

A ‘hub’ has been set-up at No. 1 Tea Room, in Birtwhistles Yard, Devonshire Place, Skipton, where meetings take place every Monday between 1pm and 2.30pm.

The initiative is part of the groundbreaking Natter Shack project, set-up by hospital worker Tracey Smith.

“The scheme has really taken off,” she said.

“Loneliness and isolation can be hugely detrimental to a person’s mental health and we are urging people to come along.”
