SUE LOWRY will be at the Bingley Arts Centre in October 4 to present her popular tribute show Patsy Cline and Friends.

She will perform as the famous singer in a show that also features Buddy Holly sound-alike Marc Robinson appearing as Hank Williams, and Roger Bird channelling his inner Jim Reeves.

Sue is very passionate about Patsy, whose hits have included Crazy, She’s Got You, I Fall to Pieces and Sweet Dreams.

Sue said: “She was an absolute perfectionist. It wasn’t unusual for her to do over 35 takes in the studio for a song she was recording and she expected those same high standards from everyone.

“I’m a fan first and foremost and I love her music. I am fortunate that my natural voice is like hers. I’m not doing an impression.

“I was brought up by a musical family who have played country music ever since I was a little girl. I’m keeping it in the family and enjoying every minute of it.

“Patsy Cline’s mum made all of Patsy’s dresses and I am lucky enough to have a mum who’s done that for me too. As you will see in the show, all the different outfits are authentic to the era and to Patsy Cline’s performances.”

The famous country music icon died at 30 years of age in a tragic plane crash.

The Nashville-based The Patsy Cline museum, which launched in 2017, houses many items including letters written by the singer.
