INTERACTIVE music-based workshops will be held during the weekend of Keighley Arts and Film Festival.
The Musicians Centre in Russell Street will host the hands-on sessions from October 11-13 covering group ukulele, jazz drumming, graffiti mural, live sound, studio recording, and Build Your Own Guitar Pedal.
Musicians Centre owner Michael Watmough said: “We wanted to offer something really informative and inspiring for our workshops that would perhaps set people on a path of learning that they have always had a thought of doing but never managed to begin.
“The Keighley Arts and Film Festival has given us a great opportunity to showcase some of our network’s skillset and pass them onto other people.
“To make the workshops affordable and accessible we have secured Arts Council Funding to subsidise the project and hope it will really make a difference to teaching people new artisitic and practical skills.”
Michael said that because the Musicians Centre was celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, it was using arts festival to push for a big weekend of creativity in Keighley.
