SOUTH Craven people will be asked what they would like to see from the county’s archives service.
An education and outreach officer appointed by North Yorkshire County Record Office will work with a range of groups and gather feedback, to help shape future provision, and highlight ways in which the service can provide assistance.
The so-called Resilient Records project has been awarded a £75,700 grant by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
County Councillor Greg White, executive member for customer engagement, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for us to open-up access to the archives to a broader range of users and to show how the service can contribute to their goals – whether that be promoting health and wellbeing or encouraging artistic inspiration.”
