A HOST of new courses will be showcased by Keighley Healthy Living during an open morning on Wednesday September 11.

Some of the courses will be run from KHL’s premises at 13 Scott Street, while others will be provided at community venues across the town.

Some of the course tutors will be on hand for people to talk with. Refreshments will be provided during the session, which runs from 10am to noon.

Courses and activities include: cook confident for older people; ‘cook well for less’; introduction to digital photography; Keighley Come Dancing; falls prevention course/balance and co-ordination; Fit Start; bricklaying; cake decorating; playground games; IT; patchwork and weaving; singing; and art.

There will also be information about Shed groups, which provide social and educational activities mostly for men at locations including Oakworth and Bracken Bank.
