A SEARCH has been launched for Silsden’s favourite recipes – past and present.
The Friends of Silsden Town Hall plan to produce a fundraising recipe book, illustrated by artist Martin Williamson, this autumn.
Its launch will coincide with a talk and demonstration at the town hall by ‘Mike the Baker’, Mike Armstrong, on October 28.
“We want the book to reflect the lovely baking ideas that have been produced in Silsden households down the years,” said Wendy Neville, who is co-ordinating the project for the Friends.
“Whether it’s a good old recipe left behind by granny or a modern twist inspired by ‘Bake-Off’, we’re looking forward to learning all about them and including as many as we can.”
Recipes should be handed in at Silsden Community Library or e-mailed to nevillewendy7@gmail.com as soon as possible.
