POLICE are appealing for help to trace a missing Cross Hills man.

David Allen, 46, left his home yesterday morning and was last seen at work, in Bradford, at about 8am.

North Yorkshire Police say it is very unusual for Mr Allen to be out of contact with his family for this long and they are concerned for his welfare.

He is described as 5ft 8ins tall, and of regular build. He has short brown hair and a short brown goatee beard. He may be wearing a thin, blue RAB coat, dark blue trousers and brown shoes.

Mr Allen is driving a silver Vauxhall Mokka with the registration YK13 RYB.

There have been a number of reported sightings of his vehicle around the Calder Valley area of West Yorkshire.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts, or sightings of his car, is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police.

In the case of any immediate sightings, people should call 999, quoting reference number 12190150894.
