MUSICIANS from Keighley have returned from a whistle-stop tour of Bavaria as members of the Hot Aire! Concert Band.
The musicians were praised for their enthusiasm and energy during three well-received concerts in the German region, including Michael-Ende Spa Gardens in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Odeonsplatz in Munich.
They also performed at a venue overlooking Lake Staffelsee and the Alps, sharing the stage with traditional Bavarian band Musikkapelle Uffing.
Franzi Eckerskorn, one of the audience members, said: “Hot Aire! performed in Munich bringing lots of Aire Waves – their brilliant new CD! Their joyful sound made me dance in the streets – it was refreshing and exhilarating at the same time.
“I think the best thing for me was that they even delivered a little speech in German!”
The youngest musician on the tour, aged seven, performed with percussion, not her normal instrument. Hot Aire Air plan to perform in Europe again in 2021.
