THE CLOWNING continued until the end of term for Lees Primary School.

Pupils created an image of a life-size clown along with other stand-up pictures for the circus-themed Lees and Cross Roads Village Gala.

The artworks could be seen as the procession passed the school, with many pupils also taking part in the parade dressed as circus characters.

The display outside the school remained until the end of term for villagers and passers-by to admire.

Pupils had also played a part in choosing the gala king and queen – Oliver Battle and Tabby Atkinson – and their attendants.
