A VEG Fest is coming to Braithwaite with lots of free food, fun and games for the whole family.
The Cabbage Club are hosting the event at the Keighley Urban Meadows, on the North Dean Allotments, on August 10 from 1pm.
The volunteer-run club grows vegetables on their allotment, which has been transformed into an ‘outdoor community centre’ hosting regular activities.
The group asks: “Why ask for takeaway when you can get one free?”
Keighley Town Council project coordinator Pip Gibson said the ‘Just Veg’ event would target families, with a focus on sharing information about healthy lifestyles.
She is inviting local organisations to support the event by presenting an activity or experience linked to the theme, or providing helpers.
