A TASTE what will be on offer at a planned autumn arts festival in Keighley will be given to townspeople on Saturday.

Keighley Arts and Film Festival, currently being organised by a team of volunteers and arts professionals, will be held over three days in October.

The preview event will be held on Saturday July 20 from 1pm to 4pm at Keighley Creative Space, the artists’ studio and gallery complex in the former Sunwin House and Home department store on Hanover Street.

A spokesman said: “The preview is being held to provide the local community a taster of the events that will be on throughout the inaugural three-day festival this October.

“The preview will include short film screenings, choir, lantern making, Little People art and Filming on your Mobile workshops, as well as an open darkroom and Window on the World Photography.”

All ages are welcome, with refreshments available in the Creative Space café.

The main festival in October will include dance, music, art, sculpture, photography, film and guided heritage walking activities, at a range of venues around Keighley.

The October event has received funding from organisations such as Arts Council England, Keighley Town Council, Bradford Council, the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Keighley Big Local.
