A KEIGHLEY woman is again holding a cake and bun sale to raise money for her granddaughter’s life enhancing medical treatment.
Proceeds from June Wormald’s three-times-a-year sales help pay for 12-year-old Charlotte’s trips to the Klimkovice sanatorium in the Czech Republic.
Charlotte, who has cerebral palsy, recently received her latest round of therapeutic, rehabilitative treatments. She lives in Menston but was born in Airedale Hospital and used to live in Riddlesden.
Her mother Radka said Charlotte had been undergoing the specialist treatment since she was five years old.
She said: “In the Czech Republic everything is under one roof and Charlotte can go three times a week while we’re there. We’re aiming to go twice a year for another three years, then her grandma can retire from making buns. It’s amazing what she does, and all her friends help with it.”
June will hold her latest sale on Saturday June 15 from 9am to 4pm in the Airedale Shopping Centre in Keighley.
