THE 2019 king and queen have been chosen for this year's Lees cum Cross Roads village gala.
Oliver Battle and Tabby Atkinson, who are both in year six at Lees Primary School, were selected by their fellow pupils on April 12.
The pair were crowned by the 2018 gala king and queen – Alfie Russell and Alice Vidic.
On the same day, four-year-old Millie Beardall was announced as the winner of Lees cum Cross Roads Village Association's Easter Bunny Hunt Competition.
She was presented with a hamper of Easter eggs and toys.
Association secretary Beverly Underwood, who is also a parish councillor, said: "This is the first year we've held the competition. It was free to enter.
"We had ten pictures of bunnies in different shop windows. Children taking part had to find them all, write down what colour they were and where the bunnies were located.
"As an association we're putting on a lot of activities to get our name out there and show what we're putting back into the community.
"The 2019 gala will be on July 13 and the organisation is ongoing. This year's gala will have a circus theme.
"We'd still welcome people prepared to volunteer to help us out. Anyone interested in getting involved can call me on 07760 211675."
