I ATTENDED International Women's Day at Keighley Civic Centre.
What a grand affair. There were 24 colourful tabletop activities with lots to do for people of all ages.
There were children having fun, a talk about the plight of Bangladeshi factory workers by the union Unite and brilliant performances by the dance troupe Charlie's Angels.
Students from Keighley College worked hard all afternoon and there was a long queue of young girls waiting to have their nails done.
A complementary therapist level three student gave me a neck, back and arm massage. It was so relaxing I'd be willing to pay good money for it next time.
We were also served food for just £1, which was cheap and cheerful.
A good time was had by all who attended and it was amazing to see so many people give up their free time to volunteer.
