HOME-shopping giant Damart – whose warehousing facility is at Steeton – last year raised more than £19,000 for charity, the company has revealed.
The money was split between its three main charity partners – Breast Cancer Now, Heart Research UK and The Silver Line.
And a donation was also made to mental health charity, The Cellar Trust.
Funds were coined-in through various activities.
Initiatives included the sale of special limited-edition pink vests, with profits going to Breast Cancer Now.
Also, a Healthy Hearts cookbook was produced in support of Heart Research UK.
Plus, staff took part in a Wear It Pink Day and an afternoon tea was held.
Ben Phillips, Damart's head of e-commerce, said: "We have always been very proud to support these fantastic charities to help fund the vital work that they do.
"It is important to us to support a mixture of national and local charities, as they make such valuable contributions to the lives and communities of both our colleagues and our customers."
