A FORMER Cross Roads man is once again bringing some colour to a flood-hit community.

Mark Pullen – and his partner Debbie Adamthwaite – are staging a Lego brick show in a village devastated by the Boxing Day floods of 2015.

The couple run a Bricks4Kidz business.

Venue for the event – on Sunday, January 27 – is Mytholmroyd Community & Leisure Centre, which was under eight feet of water during the deluge.

The show follows the success of a similar event last year, which attracted nearly 1,100 visitors.

"Last year we pulled together some amazing Lego brick models from across the UK and this time it's going to be even bigger!" said Mr Pullen, an ex-member of Haworth, Cross Roads and Stanbury Parish Council.

"The venue space has been increased, there'll be more interactive activities available and youngsters have been invited to bring along their own Lego brick creations to display."

The event will run from 11am to 5pm, with last entry at 4pm.

Admission will be £4 – cash only – on the door, subject to capacity.

But tickets are pre-bookable at £2.50 by visiting brickshow.co.uk.
