WILSDEN Parish Council is looking at improving the surface of car park outside the Village Hall.

Councillors voted to ask the hall management committee to seek quotes for the costs of refurbishing the whole car park and separate quotes for refurbishing the part it is solely responsible for.

The council will also ask how much money remains from a grant given recently to the After School Club, because any surplus could be used for the car park project.

Wilsden councillors have been meeting with Bradford Council officers to discuss progress on the village’s Neighbourhood Plan, which will be used when new developments are planned.

They will apply for a grant for additional technical support to help with work on the plan.

Wilsden Parish Council also hopes to use new powers outlined in a revised version of the Neighbourhood Plan Policy Framework.

West Yorkshire Police have sent letters to residents of Chapel Row, Main Spring Road and Main Street concerning parking issues.
