A GROWING sports turf research firm has appointed a new consultant – and it's a familiar face!
Gwynn Davies, whose career has included a stint in turfgrass agronomy at Harden-based STRI, has returned to support the company's business growth and service development in the UK and overseas.
During his 15 years in the industry, Mr Davies has held several senior positions in golf course management and consultancy.
He said: "I am delighted to be back with the STRI team and am looking forward to being able to share my knowledge and experience, supporting the development of sports facilities.
"I always enjoyed the camaraderie of the team and am excited to join colleagues as they enter a new phase of growth and development in 2019."
STRI director, Lee Penrose, welcomed the appointment.
"Gwynn is an outstanding sports facility consultant who has expert technical knowledge," he said.
"I have no doubt he will hit the ground running and continue to deliver STRI consultancy services to the highest level, as expected by our clients."
