KEIGHLEY Model Railway Club will hold its Christmas open day on Sunday December 30 at its clubrooms Keighley Business Centre.

Layouts of all scales will be operating in the venue, in Knowle Mill on Halifax Road, from 10am to 4.30pm. The chief attraction will be the chance to run trains received as Christmas presents. Admission is £3.50 for adults and £2.50 for children.

The club will hold its 44th annual exhibition on March 9 and 10 at the usual venue, University Academy Keighley, from 10am to 4.30pm., with railway layouts from both local members and visiting clubs, along with trade stands.

The club’s spring open day will be on April 28 and the summer open day on July 7, both at the clubrooms from 10am to 4.30pm. The annual 7mm Festival for layouts in larger scales will be on October 13.

Founded in 1974, Keighley Model Railway Club has over 80 members of all ages. The club has produced layouts in a variety of scales which have been exhibited in both the UK and Europe. Members range from absolute beginners to advanced amateurs.
