THE FRONTMAN with The Icicle Works will yet again bring the Cruck Barn’s autumn season to a close.

Ian McNabb will give one of his popular solo performances on December 14 at the venue behind the Craven Arms, Appletreewick.

This will be the fifth consecutive annual performance for McNabb in what gig organisers Plumhall are calling a new ‘Christmas Dales tradition’.

McNabb is the former singer, songwriter and lead guitarist with Liverpool legends The Icicle Works, whose US hit ‘Whisper To A Scream’ recently featured on hit Netflix show Stranger Things.

Nick Hall, from acoustic duo Plumhall, said: “Ian is rightly lauded for his superb singing voice, excellent songs, fantastic guitar-playing and wonderful stage presence.

“After the disbanding of The Icicle Works, Ian began a highly successful solo career.

“A prolific writer, Ian put out the highly-acclaimed album ‘Star Smile Strong’ last year, recorded with the current Icicle Works line-up, and this year has toured yet another fantastic album ‘Our Future In Space’.

“Expect songs from throughout Ian’s Icicle Works and solo careers - including songs from the brilliant new album – in a concert that will linger long in the memory.”

Opening the gig will be Plumhall, made up of Michelle Plum (Chumbawamba and Chris Norman Band) and Nick Hall (Magna Carta and The Hall Brothers).

Their dynamic live act’s strong reputation rests on high-quality, award-winning songwriting, superb musicianship, strong stage presence and spine-tingling harmonies.
