REGULARS and staff at a Keighley pub have made a second donation to Manorlands following their participation in an It's a Knockout contest.

The Reservoir Tavern team had already presented £500 to the hospice after the event, held at Ilkley in September.

Now more cash has been handed over, taking the total to £1,104 – the second-highest amount raised by any of the 12 teams that took part.

The Reservoir Frogs, as they were known, won the contest.

Andrew Wood, Sue Ryder community fundraising manager at Manorlands, visited the West Lane pub to collect the cheque.

He thanked landlady Gail Lloyd and all those who helped coin-in the funds.

"Watching the Reservoir Frogs take part on the day – and their reaction when the results were announced – was one of my fundraising highlights of 2018!" he added.

"It was as if they had won the World Cup – and good on them, they have now also become the second-highest fundraisers.

"We really appreciate their support, as without generosity and hard work like this we at Sue Ryder could not go on providing the care that we do."
