A PLAN to shape the future of Haworth, Cross Roads & Stanbury should be ready to be passed to Bradford Council to be formally adopted by spring of next year.

Haworth, Cross Roads and Stanbury Parish councillors were informed of progress on their parish's Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) at their meeting on November 19.

Councillor Tito Arana, chairman of the NDP working group, said drop-in sessions had been staged during November to give residents and other interested parties an opportunity to view and comment on a summary of the NDP policy.

"These are the last of the statutory consultations," he added. "People have been very positive about the plan and seem to understand that it's about protecting where they live.

"We're quite close to the end of the process, and we hope that by April or May next year we'll be able to hand the plan over to Bradford Council."

The NDP outlines key priorities for the parish's future, and once it is signed off it will influence what types of new properties are developed in the parish.
