THE LADIES of the Blues are back in Keighley for a concert on November 23 at the Café Choux Choux.

This time it’s a different trio of leading female blues singers and musicians... Lee Ainley, Zoe Green and Eliana Cargnelutti.

A spokesman said: “Blues enthusiasts, live music lovers and aspiring musicians are in for a very special treat.

“Words alone cannot convey what’s in store for audiences; the only way to truly experience this is by seeing them live.

“They are singularly special – but with all three on the same bill, blues music has never sounded or looked so good.”

Lee Ainley’s Blues Storm are described as a unique vocal pairing of mother and daughter Lee and Tori Ainley.

The spokesman said: “They are aided by the raw, untapped talent of teenage guitarist Elliot Young, and musical direction by a former A&R manager who worked with John Mayall, Peter Green, Buddy Whittington and John Lee Hooker.

“Put these all together with the driving rhythms of one of the South Coast’s most in demand blues drummers, and you end up with Lee Ainley’s Blues Storm.”

Respected magazine Blues in Britain described Lee Ainley’s Blues Storm as a bright star in the blues night sky.

The spokesman said the Zoe Green Band had become a force to be reckoned, putting on shows that left audiences wanting more every time.

He said: “Zoe started as a singer at the age of 15 and was a professional singer within many styles of music until settling into her area of expertise – blues!

“Her gritty powerhouse vocals and dazzling stage presence complements Gaz’s guitar skills, backed by solid drums and incredible funk bass.”

Ryan’s Gig Guide said: “Zoe Green as a singer is fantastic; musicians must be forming a mile-long queue to work with her.”

Eliana Cargnelutti is a guitarist, singer and songwriter from North Italy, and after graduating in jazz guitar became one of the rare frontwomen on the European live music scene.

The spokesman said: “Eliana’s band play a flavour of rock blues with a bit of everything in between: electric funk, mixed with pop and jazzy instrumentals, raw rock, tight blues grooves, illuminated by her skills as an electric guitarist.”

In 2015 Eliana was named one of the five Best Female Guitarists in the rock blues scene at the American “Jimi Awards”.

Café Choux Choux is at Keighley railway station. The doors open at 7pm.
