KEIGHLEY in Bloom’s awards presentation will take place at the Airedale Shopping Centre next month.
On Saturday October 6, starting at 10.30am in The Mall Café, shoppers will get a front row seat to see who takes the top spots in the competition’s categories.
Gardeners from the town have showcased their cultivations, with entries covering residential gardens, container displays, allotments and community centres.
Steve Seymour, Airedale Shopping Centre manager, said: “It’s a real honour to welcome this year’s Keighley in Bloom awards presentation.
“It’s such a well-respected competition which has been running for 14 years and keeps our town looking beautiful.
“Each year, so many of our town’s people and businesses enter, with everyone making an effort. Some of the displays are exquisite and really show off the green-fingered talent in Keighley.”
Mr Seymour and his management team were recently awarded the Community Champion Award and Gold in the Large Business category at this year’s Yorkshire in Bloom.
He added: “It’s a real team effort here at the centre when we’re preparing for judging, especially when it comes to the Community Champion Award.”
