A FUN day raised £450 for Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice Manorlands.
Nikki Brown organised the event after a friend, who died earlier this year, was cared for at the hospice.
Nikki has also recently lost her brother-in-law to cancer.
She said: “The fun day was great and we were lucky with the weather.
“We had all sorts going on, from craft stalls and kids’ games to a pet show and music.
“I set a target of £300 and so am really happy with the amazing amount raised.”
The event was held at the Be A Garden Maker garden centre, Wigglesworth, which Nikki owns.
Thanks were expressed by Manorlands community fundraiser, Molly Ralphson.
She added: “This is a great example of what local businesses can do to help the hospice.
“We simply couldn’t continue our care without support from the community and people such as Nikki going out of their way to fundraise.”
