A TV series regarded as the definitive portrayal of the Bronte family's life is being released on DVD.
The Brontes of Haworth, made in 1973, has only previously been available on DVD as an Australian or American import.
Bronte enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the April 24 release because they believe the drama has never been surpassed.
Outdoor scenes were filmed locally including at the Bronte Parsonage Museum in Haworth, where the family lived in the mid 19th century.
The five-hour Granada Television drama was written by playwright Christopher Fry and featured Michael Kitchen as Branwell.
