SIR - May I, through your publication, please extend my warmest wishes to everyone in Keighley who made myself and my husband so welcome during our visit last week.
As a writer myself, it had always been my dream to visit the Bronte Parsonage and, as a birthday treat this year, my husband said we'd visit. We chose the Dalesgate Hotel on Skipton Road as our base, and we were well looked after by the staff there. We also visited The Roebuck just along the road a couple of times and everyone there made us very welcome.
We visited Hebden Bridge and Skipton Castle, as well, during our stay and, in fact everywhere we went in West Yorkshire over those few days, the people could not have been more welcoming or kind and we really appreciated that.
I'd love to visit again some time, perhaps to visit Cottingley and maybe spend more time in Leeds, but I have no doubts we'll choose Keighley as our 'home from home' again. Thank you to everyone.
