SIR - Last week I met a young gentleman who had a tent pitched at Wibsey Park. He was homeless but he couldn't find a place to stay as he had a dog as a pet.
Unfortunately he was moved on before I could give him some old clothes and toiletries.
Quite a lot of homeless people have dogs as a bit of companionship. It seems a shame that because of their pets they have to stay homeless or have to give their animals up to find a place to live.
I hope the gentleman in question finds somewhere to live with his pet.
